Macroeconomic & Financial Systemic Stability Alignment (LAE-SDI v1.0)
Instructions & Explanation
How to Use the Macroeconomic & Financial Systemic Stability Alignment Simulator
Use the interactive sliders below to model how debt service burdens, fiscal reserves, structural reforms, and central bank emergency interventions impact long-term fiscal balance sheet health and macroeconomic stability over a 60-quarter/year horizon.
Simulator Controls
- Debt Burden / Market Strain (D): Systemic leverage, debt roll-over volume, and fiscal deficits.
- Fiscal Reserves & Real Growth (R): Tax revenue growth, real output yield, and central bank foreign exchange reserves.
- Structural Reform Efficiency (I): Technological productivity gains, structural economic reforms, and supply-side optimization.
- Emergency Intervention Limit (Amax): Maximum central bank balance sheet expansion, quantitative easing limits, and emergency credit facilities.
- Inflationary Friction (α): Structural strain and systemic risk multiplier per unit of leverage.
- Target Output / Revenue (P):** Target market throughput, GDP benchmark, or sovereign debt service requirement.
Interpreting the Results
- Systemic Stability Index (SDI): Calculates long-term macroeconomic and fiscal solvency.
- Below 1.0 (SUSTAINABLE EXPANSION): Real growth and structural productivity gains naturally maintain structural fiscal capacity.
- 1.0 to 1.5 (LATENT STAGFLATION): GDP and asset values appear stable, but rely heavily on monetary expansion and debt intervention masking underlying structural decay.
- Above 1.5 (SYSTEMIC LIQUIDITY CRISIS): Emergency intervention buffers are fully exhausted, breaching solvency limits and triggering currency devaluation or debt collapse.
- The Dynamic Chart:
- Structural Fiscal Capacity (Sky Blue): Underlying fiscal buffer, real purchasing power, and sovereign balance sheet strength.
- Economic Output (Green): Observed economic output, market liquidity, and debt servicing.
- Monetary / Debt Intervention (Dashed Amber): Quantitative easing and central bank liquidity buffers used to support economic output.
- Solvency Boundary (Dashed Red): Critical balance sheet boundary below which systemic default or rating downgrades occur.

Model Formulation, Equations & Normalization Assumptions
Governing Equations
dC/dt = β·R + I − γ·DStructural fiscal capacity dynamics, with C(t) clamped to [0, C0].
SDI = (γ·D) / (β·R + I)Relative systemic burden versus structural capacity generation.
A(t) = min(Amax, max(0, P* − φC))Intervention required to close the output gap, subject to the intervention limit.
φC = (C(t) / C0) · P*Capacity-supported output before emergency intervention.
Ccrit = C0 · max(0, 1 − Amax / P*)Critical capacity level implied by the available intervention buffer.
Normalization & Parameters
Financial metrics are dimensionless normalized macro indices. The baseline real-yield scale is
β = 1.0, inflationary friction is parameterized as γ = 1.2·α,
C0 = 100, and the horizon is 60 normalized periods.
Interpretation:
SDI below 1 indicates that structural capacity generation exceeds the modeled burden term.
SDI at or above 1 indicates increasing structural strain, and higher values indicate a widening
imbalance between burden and capacity. This simulator is an analytical illustration, not an
empirical forecast, investment recommendation, or prediction of a specific economy.
